Post op knee pain after THR saga

So I got the cortisone injection one week ago. Still have pain in my knee. Went to PT today, didn't do much he says the injection can take up to weeks, gave me very limited exercises to do. Meanwhile my leg muscles are so weak now from in-activity. I walked 1/2 mile today with my walking. Not sure how much long I can take this. My knee pain doesn't feel like OA pain but maybe it's different in the knee?

I recently saw a knee specialist about my knee pain and weakness. I had to push up with my hands even to get on and off the toilet seat! X-rays revealed that my knees are actually in pretty good shape. I was convinced that I would need knee replacement, but that did not turn out to be the case. I had both knees injected which helped the pain issue pretty quickly (a couple of days) and I went to physical therapy. I had six weeks of therapy and the conclusion was that my hips and my knees were very weak. Exercises helped to strengthen both and I feel so much better about going up and down stairs, sitting down and standing up, and even stepping up and down on bleachers at sporting events. I've finished the PT although I still do some exercises. I feel so much better!

Well that give me a glimmer of hope. I do have some OA in my knee that I wasn't even aware of until my knee got tweaked in the operating room.
