Hi I am 8 weeks post op and three days with a dreadful cough. Think I've burst a stitch as have some bleeding and nipping. Does anyone know if this needs redone? Will it fix itself? Going Dr obviously in morning but wonder if anyone else has had this?

I'm also 8 weeks post rect repair. I've been coughing for over 2 weeks. No fun at all. I went for my post op today and he said all my stitches were dissolved. Take cough syrup and when you cough make sure you are doing a kegal (the knack I believe it's called) to support your pelvic floor. Hopefully your doc tomorrow can check it out and provide you some reassurance.

Thank you Lynne dr says stitches in place all good so must be menstrual which i hadn't expected as none for six months. Yes I'll do kegals for sure, very frightening thinking you've done damage after such rotten op. They don't tell you it's so awful. Hope your recovery is going very well x

I am curious as to how long spotting is normal for. I'm 2 weeks post op still spotting
