Oh dear, how awful for you both.

Is she in hospital? If so and it was me I would insist on being at the hospital all night so I could keep an eye. I would sleep in the waiting room and keep asking the nurse on duty to check on her...but that's me! I learnt a lot after my dad died when I was 34.

If she is at home I would keep a close eye on her and call an ambulance if you are at all concerned!!! If she is then admitted to A &E they usually have  to perform whatever is needed; which is why sometimes A&E is misused because people learn that is the best way to get action.

I live in England, it may be different where you live.

I am and will continue to pray for you both.

OH Wayne, I have to agree, I would call for an ambulance, anything to get your wife to the hospital, and they will have to do the tests, and not wait until after the holiday.  Tell them the head pain is getting worse if you have to, which may be true.  I would not wait, and yes, I would stay with her in the hospital, they usually can bring in a sleeping chair, or an extra bed for you.  It is crazy that they would make you wait until after the holiday, especially for something like this!!  You just do what you have to, to take care of your wife and child.  God Bless you!  You all are in our prayers!  Please keep us posted!!

So I've just got back from hospital and have been told they don't do

MRI scans at the weekend but the specialist who told her she has

A clot said this its ridiculous waiting until next week when its something

Serious like this, she has been having clotty nosebleeds and says the

Pressure on the back of her head is getting weaker and she looks a bit

Healthier so hopefully its sorting itself out I hope anyway thanks for your kind

    Replays anyway.

Praise God that He has seen fit to 'sort it out' in the meantime in His way! Clotted nose bleeds etc.

    This was my prayer.

So so pleased that you have some relief as mentioned above re seeing and speaking.

Once the scan etc has been done and your wife is well on the way to recovery I would mostly certainly think very carefully about the need for some form of formal complaint. Not that you expect anything in return but to highlight a very serious flaw in the system.

Will continue to pray for the 2/3 of you.

    Love to you both

      Thank you greatly.

Yes I think that a complaint is in the cards mainly so nobody

Else goes through this,I don't see the point in these expensive

Machines if no ones there to operate on a weekend life is a

24/7 shift so the healthcare we get taxed for should be too, I just h

Hope she's still the same tomorrow then I might finally be able to rest

Hi Wayne, Yes, I think this is a very good idea, sending a letter!  I have heard of the health care in other places, and it is frightening!  My mom was int he ER last night for many hours, I was beside myself as I am in another state, she needed a MRI in the wee hours, there was no problem, she got one, then back again for a CT scan for another look.  Thankfully, it looks like my mom will be ok until she see the doctor next week...yes...we too have a holiday on Monday.  I think I am grateful for living where we do.  But, then my husband and I lived in Austria for 5 years, for his business, and I had to be hospitalized for 10 days, and the social med there was wonderful, no wait for anything...of course Austria is a small country, so less population.  I guess it just depends on where you live.  I am just so sorry your wife has to wait until next week, and given she is pregnant, you have to be out of your mind.  BUT, I am so glad the clot is easing her head pain!!  Thank God!!  You and your family will continue to be in our prayers!!  God Bless!

You know its scary how things like this can happen to you like

You've just mentioned your mum going through hope she's OK

By the way, you never expect it to be yourself or a loved one

One things for sure I'll be signing me and my family up for private

Care after this shambles. Its been tough and still is I can't sleep

But I'm keeping this to myself my wifes under enough stress.

I managed to explain this to a doctor what was in but just not bothered

His advice was don't worry! OK then if I could do that I wouldn't be human

Yes it is!  Thank you, at least for me, I know she is in good care, but I still worry, as I am far away, I will be driving the 12 hours though, to be there with her.  But no, I don't think I would say anything to your wife either, she needs to consentrate on herself and the baby, and that is a big job as it is, no need to worry her any more at the moment.  Very good idea to sign up for the private insurance, so glad you are able to do that!!  Easy for the doctor to say don't worry, it's not his wife, and child in that bed!  It makes me mad for you!  Like I said, we all will keep you and your family in our prayers!  Please do keep us posted, we want things to go right for you!!  God Bless!
