My doctor has confirmed that I'm premenapausable, I have known this however for the last 10 months. I take Pronanolol Daily and Sumpertription for when a migrane attack happens. Them who suffer with migranes like me please I have a question: my migranes I'm experiencing a lot more and more frequent obviously because I'm peri and the body is all over the place, is it natural to get more migranes? Is there anything I can or should be given off the doctor to help me with the suffering? Any advise please?!!.

Dear Michelle I have never suffered migraines all my life but going in to peri i kept having the migraine auras, at first i wondered what the hell they were. Plus on the odd occasion the odd pain over mh eyes but not full blown migraine. On average i was having these auras about four or five times a month. I believe the hormone inbalances caused these. Because mine were mainly auras i didnt really take much for them but i believe there are medications for migraine including botox i believe! X

I am 45 and when I was younger (30ish) I used to have full blown migraines with aura.

In January I started getting migraines again but they were just the aura without the pain and only in my left eye.  I have had quite a few of these and they have left my eye with floaters now, which disturb my vision.

About 3 weeks ago I had my first full migraine in 15 years and then had another one 2 days later.  My doctor wants to put me on betablockers but I am scared of the side effects. I read something online about the importance of sodium in your diet and the connection with migraine, so at the moment I am concentrating on keeping those levels up.  Touch wood I have been ok this week.  I do beleive hormone levels are to blame.  I wish you well.
