Pretty sure I know the answer... pics & longish backstory

I've been freaking out for the last 3 days over this. The more I look at these pictures, the more I feel like it's herpes. I have HSV 1 and have gotten cold sores in the past (as well as my partner has) but this is my first experience EVER with something like this genitally.

I'm in a 6-year monogamous (though toxic) relationship with a man I wouldn't put past to cheat. I've never seen any genital sores on him however and in our 6 year relationship we've both only had a cold sore maybe once, and none recently.

About 4 weeks ago I noticed a perianal bump. It's circled and labelled as 1 in the first pic. It is hard and not painful, and the only time it hurt was when I messed with it too much wondering if it was an ingrown hair. It hasn't changed since I first noticed it. I get waxed regularly but haven't due to covid, so I thought maybe it was related. Anyways, fastforward to 4 days ago my partner and I had sex and did not use any lubricant like we typically do, so it was a little painful and I felt irritated after. The next morning I felt a slightly sore area off to the side of the bump (labelled as 2). It is flat and not open and only hurts (very slightly) if I press on it. I feel like compared to other's pics, it looks similar to herpes. Today, it is still not open or raised and is day 3 from when I first noticed it.

I'm trying to come to terms with it in advance. I have no other symptoms (no tingling or burning, no fever, no body aches, etc) and have an appointment for Thursday to have it swabbed. Has anyone had a similar experience? Assuming this is an HSV lesion/outbreak, and the first I've ever had, will more lesions appear? Will things get worse in the next few days?

    I don't think that is herpes. Herpes usually appear as small fluid filled bumps in small clusters. they break open and the sore is indented. My first breakout went from bad to worse very quickly. Everyday it was worse and worse. I truly believe those are just irritated spots from shaving.

      I wasn't sure how quickly or slowly things progress, so I didn't know if maybe it was going to rise and fill up. Thank you for your response!! I will make sure to circle back and update after I see my GYN on Thursday.
