Previously a headache, now something else

Hello,

I'm confronting with something for many years, something that in the past were headaches (intense)

Now, are no longer intense. I've learned how to keep them under control (not fully and not through medication)

In the present, I managed to reduce them to a fade sensation of numbness, through self-control, and once with this also the frequency when the numbness appears.

I've started to become aware that the origin might not be physical (meaning teeth, eyesight, tumor, fatigue, and so on..), but psychological (i guess)

For some reason, I put stress on my left side of the head (on the left temple) and it feels like a muscle spasm, very intense, somehow close to how a cramp feels.

It's preventing me from focusing how I should, and it's seriously affecting my attention to details.

In the past, it has manifested through all the forms presented in the picture (except "TENSION"), and now, in the recent years it's mostly "GIANT CELL ARTERITIS" (in the picture) https://i.ibb.co/y6ZLB9K/Clipboard02.jpg

Could you recommend me with what type of medic should i start with to look into this medical condition?

Thank you!

The most often questions I previously answered.

Are you still having the headaches?

    • Not the actual headaches. I stopped having them 4 years ago

What is it now, if it's no longer a headache?

    • I can only describe them as a muscle spasm, almost close to cramps.

Is it visible like in the video?

    • No, it's not visible on me, but that's how it feels. It's exhausting...

    How often do they appear?

    • They appear almost random during the day. 90% during the day.

How often and how much do they last?

    • The numbness appears and stays from 1-4 day per week, with a break of 1-3 days.
    • If I lose control of the numbness and it gets painful (3 out of 10 in the pain scale, rarely 5/10), it last for about 24+ hours

    How does it evolve?

    • From numbness to spasms, to minor pain (3/10 painful)

Are other symptoms associated to your condition?

    • No, unless if are starting to get painful (not in the last 2 years)

Have you done a blood test?

    • Yes, but not nothing unusual appeared.

    Brain scan?

    • No tumor; no thin blood vessel.

Based on this picture, where do you feel the discomfort? https://i.ibb.co/y6ZLB9K/Clipboard02.jpg

    • Now, mostly in the GIANT CELL ARTERITIS region, but it can extend to the rest from the picture (except "TENSION" image)

    What are the triggers?

    • Cold breeze, lack of sleep, and some other that I'm not aware now.

Anything to do with a headache would be a neurologist. The specialize in things that affect the brain, spinal cord, and nerves.
