hi all

well today I went to doctor as the right hand side of my wound didn't look too good. She advised it has opened slightly and I am now on antibiotics. Also got my HRT no problem

anyone else had problems with wound?  I am 4 weeks post op today.

Thanks

    Hi Lee

So sorry you are having a problem with your wound.  Hopefully the antibiotics will work wonders and you will be on your way to  recovery.

    How are the headaches doing?

I have just walked up Fern Hill, which is the steepest hill we have around here, a very sharp gradient, with no puffing or panting, well only from Rosie, at full speed. . So pleased with my progress.

      Hi Jacqui

wow look at you. That is brilliant. Rosie will be so pleased.

I couldn't even get max and poppy to park today. Luckily my son is off for two weeks so he took them instead.

My scar is stingy but hopefully tablets will take effect soon. I'm going to take it easy as I think I am doing too much.

Thank you for your kind words

      Hi Lee

So glad your headaches have gone.  They make life miserable don't they?

Good idea, rest up as much as possible and let everything heal.  Hopefully at the end of all this you will be able to say the op was one of the best things to happen.

Glad your son is walking Max and Poppy, gives you time to rest.

Ian and I have just done our meditation, and Rosie of course, we do it together twice a week, very calming.

Just walked Rosie up another hill, Sandringham Hill, so she can see the chickens.  There are about 30 of them and they were all having a dust bath, Rosie's face is a picture of sheer delight.

Take it easy and pamper yourself.

      Love

Hi. Yes it is a common problem.  I'm not sleeping but I think that has a lot,to,do with my menopausal symptoms.

      Good luck.

Let me know how you get on x

      Hi shazlee

Your still early days I'm 4 weeks post op now..

I was sleeping a lot for the first couple of weeks. It got better now I'm waking up with raging hot flushes... Started my HRT today so hoping they will settle down.

Make sure you listen to your body and not run before you can walk.. I did that and regretted it...

      Take care

      Hi Lyn.

I was just thinking about you there.

I am ok thanks. My back still aches but I feel much better. I banged my belly into the back of a trolley today in Markys. That was sore.

How you?  That's disappointing that your HRT gel is not working. Yes def get a stronger dose. Use 2 pumps instead of one. Are you still getting flushes?

I have had no menopausal symptoms since starting it. Quite amazed actually.

I hope you get something sorted at work. I am hoping for another couple of weeks off but I don't plan going back to work full time. I think I,will leave and look for something less intense.

I bet it was sore I still get jiggly pains sometimes of an evening which I guess is the muscles knitting together yes I'm still getting hot flushes but it seems to be just overnight I'm down at the moment as well it's just adjusting to working again and full time at least I've found another courier couple to cover the Saturday and Tuesday off the bank holiday so I can finish Friday afternoon and then go down to looe in Cornwall for a couple of days I'm now going to be counting the days . Hopefully I can get to speak to a doctor this week about perhaps increasing the gel dose   Lyn x

I expect we will continue to get tummy pains for a good few weeks yet. The left side of my tummy seems quite flat but the right side still seems swollen. I can see it when I lie in the bath. The right side is also a bit tender. That is also the side which my scar opened up a bit. It's my back that gets sore. Especially if I have been on my feet for a while.

I am sure you will have no problem getting an increase with your gel.

Thats good news about cover. A few days in Cornwall sounds lovely. We are getting terrible weather up here just now. It's really quite depressing.

      Keep in touch.

      Lucky you.

I live in Broughty Ferry in Dundee Scotland. It's a lovely place but weather not great. We had some lovely days in April though.

Fingers crossed for more on the way

      Lyn it is lovely.

I lived in Essex 25 years ago. Actually I had my daughter down there. I came home as I was homesick. Apart from the weather I love it and would not live anywhere else. We do get some hot days but not enough.

      The scenery is breathtaking.
