promethazine for anxiety?

Hi, has anyone ever tired Promethazine for anxiety? I only thought this sort of medication is to help you fall asleep, for allergies, and nausea? 😕

    I am not sure many years ago and by that I mean around 30/40 years ago I was given something for anxiety and I know it began with P. Whether it was Promethazine I can't remember. I did not take it for long as I found it worked too well for helping me sleep and I found it hard to wake up in the morning. Sorry can't help further.

    Ignore my last reply to you. It has just come back to me what I was prescribed was Prothiaden. Sorry about that.
