Hi, I have been taking Propranolol Hard Modified Release for anxiety for the past two days, on the first day I felt drowsy but other than that fine, today i feel awful, hot sweats, swollen glans, diarrhea, feeling sick and very drowsey, can't concentrate on anything. Has anyone else had this? Not sure what to do.

Hi, Im not a doctor, but that sounds more like you have got the cold/flue. Can hardly think that Propranolol gives you swollen glands...Best to seek for professional advice, I think.

    Hi Lucie

I was on pro for anxiety, palps and headaches. All the symptoms you have described as classic ones caused by pro. It says so under side effects of pro on this site. It's not on the forums but on the actual info on pro. And yes sore glands is one of them and I suffered from them as well within the first week. There seems to be only a small percent of people who suffer bad side effects and then worry themselves. For the first two weeks I suffered severe headache, dry cough, sore glands in neck with pains in neck, backache and pains, nausea, sore tender breasts, weight loss, tiredness. I thought I was in hell. They did improve over the weeks but some body pains didn't go away. But it did treat my anxiety and headaches and palps.

But as said above it may just be cold/flu. It's just a waiting game I guess.

But I just wanted you to know you are not the only one 😀 and not to worry

Oh and the dizziness is common side effect. You have to be careful when getting up out of bed and when standing. No sudden movements. Did your doc speak about this?
