I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst and endometriosis about two years ago now, and the treatment was to have prostap injections to stop my period and then to take tibolone as an hormone replacement and that was all fine.
Now, I'm waiting to meet with a surgeon because I got greenlit for a full hysterectomy, and they've decided the tibolone isn't enough, so I'm taking utrogestran, a progesterone tablet and I have the oestrogel oestrogen gel that you rub into your legs.
My nipples are driving me crazy! They're so swollen, and permanently stiff, and they hurt so much and they're all lumpy and blotchy and covered in spots - but it doesn't look like pimples, it really looks like acne!
I don't know what to do! I'm not supposed to wear bras for a few reasons, but the chafing of my nipples against my tshirt was so bad I had to cave and put a bra on - not that it's helped!
Is there any way to treat this because I feel like I'm losing my mind!

Uh, I'd get another doctor opinion. This should be addressed immediately. Preferably female obgen that has lots of good references in HRT. What you are describing sounds serious and hideously uncomfortable. Not to mention frightening and stressful. Poor girl! No woman should have to endure this. I hope they did all kinds of blood tests before you were put on that stuff. Read up on all therapies and blog sites of those who've been treated, before you accept a therapy, bc changing our chemistry affects so much. I'm upset for you but try to be calm and take action to get this cleared up. Get regulated through conservative measures with highly recommended specialists. You are worth it.
