No pain of any kind anywhere no blood in urine

Or seman anyway I went to see the doctor he said I have prostatitis he give me a urine test that was clear he told me to try and cope till the following week to have a blood test anyway it was driving me insane so I went to see the out of hours doctor Sunday he put me on cripo it's now Thursday and

So the results from my blood test come back all clear so I my blood test is all clear could I still have

Do you have pain, and how old are you? Maybe the antibiotic is the wrong one, or it can penetrate the prostatic infection or you just have an inflammed case of chronic prostatitis. Ciprofloxacin has anti-inflammatory properties, even if you do not have a bacterial infection, it can make you feel better. Can you get an erection, can you produce semen, ejaculate. Is there pain?

    Hi Jasbol,

Is the doc you firs saw a urologist?  Many GP's, and the docs in the "after hours" places, are really only trained/equipped to treat non-complicated urinary tract infections. You seem to have something more complex. Really don't want to take antibiotics if you don't need them and if you do need them you want to make sure you're taking the right ones for the right length of time.

But to answer your question, "yes" you could still have prostatitis with a clear urinalaysis and culture. It's called nonbacterial prostatitis and really needs a specialist to treat.

Boy, that is a tough one. There must be another doctor you can consult if your doc has no idea. Is he a urologist? To me to suddenly have your symtoms and your tests are clear seems strange.

    Good luck.

"Urge incontinence", google it. You do not have prostatitis, IMO.

Urge incontinence is often associated with prostatitis. He needs to see a urologist to get it sorted out.
