Prostatitis-Problems and Reactions -

hi all

First, I'm sorry for my bad English

I'm 24 years old and I have been suffering from Prostatitis for 1 year

Problems I have:

Pain and warmth in the groin

Heat under the testicles

Frequent urination every hour 1 time

Delay in urine

Feeling pain in the buttocks

3 times waking up at night for urine

Heat on the foot

All of these symptoms became more after masturbation

What I did:

Blood and urine tests All good was just a lack of zinc (my test zinc is 64 and normal is over 72)

Ultrasound testing is everything good and normal

Taking antibiotics Cipro and Dox and ... without effect

Tamsulosin was good but it had side effects

Kagel exercises and groin exercises  are good

Use of Vitamin D and Zinc Supplements

My problems are better now, but I still have frequent urination and I have to go to the toilet every 2 or 3 hours.

What do you suggest for the problem of frequent urination ??

Thanks to everybody

    Your English is fine, Jim!

Someone else will advise about frequent urination but I'm pleased to see that you have found exercises have already been helpful. There are studies that show exercises very often fix the problem while antibiotics never do anything!  Many prostate and pelvic pain problems are caused by stress and anxiety, especially in young men. Women seem to get stress related headaches while men get pains in their pelvic region.

Carry on with the exercises and learn relaxation techniques. The urination problem may possible be because you are tensing the muscles without realising.

Please be aware that Cipro can have a bad effect on you - sometimes you don't know and them you get strange pains in the legs after two or three months.  If you take more Cipro (or other antibiotics from the Fluoroquinolone class) you might get a lot of problems, or if you take painkillers such as NSAIDs or steroids, these can cause problems.  Look at the fluoroquinolone discussions on this site to see what I mean.

    Take care,

Are you sexually active? Did the symptoms start after sex with a particular person? Have you had your prostate fluid cultured?

Are you sexually active? no just masturbation 2 time every week

Did the symptoms start after sex with a particular person? no

the symkptoms start with after feeling Itching on the pelvic floor and after that i feel warm sensation in buttocks and i was thinking this is not serious and i use a Ice bag in this area and After a few days I went to a dermatologist, but no problems were found, and I went to the doctors of urology and other specialists. They tried to solve my problem by giving the pill and relaxing pill, but my problem was more serious than this.

Have you had your prostate fluid cultured? Not only urine test and nothing was found

I also have an ultrasound examination of the prostate and testicle. My prostate volume is 15 cc and its size 34*32*25

and find A simple cyst epididymis the 5mm in the testes

    Hi Jim,

It might also be helpful for you to know that normal fluid intake for a man is 1.5 liters per 24 hours. I used to drink 3.5 liters per day and that caused much more frequent urination.

If your medical situation will allow it, it might also be useful for you to see a different urologist than the one you saw before.

Finally, the prostate is a very fatty organ. As a result, it is difficult for antibiotics to enter the prostate and work well there. Many men on this site have had to see infection specialists to cure prostate problems.
