I've said to a couple other ladies on here it's so different for us all.

But I've had no pain or issues at all. I've not had a hysterectomy but I'm assuming it isn't nice. This personally for me was nothing.

I was in hospital one night and the next day doing light cooking and cleaning but I must stress everyone is different.

I'm so glad I had it done and so lucky with my recovery. Will also advise you to take laxido 5 days before your op and continue after the op. But again that's just my opinion.

Hi Vicky, sounds like you are doing ok, and I hope the recovery continues.

would you mind if I ask a few questions, if you don't answer I understand.

what pain relief did the hospital give you?

      was you reall sore?

Did you have any infection after?

did you have a dragging feeling after?

sorry for the overload just trying to get my head in the right place.

I have been using movicol since the hysterectomy and will continue till I

have this operation, I was not so uptodate when I had the last operation and

got constipated and that was awful

i am am having a week in Gambia from Wednesday then I will be booked in not long after, thank you for your comments.

      Ask away hunny

They gave me tramadol and paracetamol. I didn't need the tramadol but was scared of feeling pain so did take it

Not sore at all. Felt like I'd given birth, the first baby

No infection but I did make sure after my daily shower I sat on my bed with no pants on airing myself out!

If you're using laxido and go regular you're lucky. Keep your bowels going.

It's a difficult question Gillian because everyone responds differently. Some women like vicky sail through it but others (me included) had a lot of pain. The surgery is more invasive than a hysterectomy and recovery as you probably know takes longer.

Hi,how long ago did you have your operation, I am just fact finding at the moment, are you ok and how is your recovery so far?

when I had the hysterectomy I thought that would be it however I got granulation really bad and needed silver nitrogen three times the stitches had to be taken out and I felt like I had a nettle sting inside.

i then started with the bulge which as got really bad over 5 month.

Just to add Gillian I had problems with granulation after my hysterectomy and my repair and needed the silver nitrate treatment.

I returned to work after 13 weeks but had the luxury of 4 weeks graduated return. When I had my surgery my husband had just retired so I was well looked after.
