Pulmonary Aspiration. What should I look out for?

Posted , 3 users are following.

I had surgery on 26/6, it is now 29/6.

I regurgitated and aspirated stomach fluids. I was kept overnight in case of pneumonia. my heart rate sat around 105-120.

I have a cough, which does feel a little better today. My heart rate still feels high. I also still feel as though I cant get as much air into my lungs as normal, and get short of breath very easily.

Is this normal? They didn't tell me what to expect, just if it gets worse go to emergency.

I am seeing my GP on Thursday, should I move that appointment up? Tuesday would be the earliest i can get in anyway.
