Hi everyone a newbie here, just found this forum yesterday and it's great to find people who understand and have similar experiences.

I've probably always had health anxiety but just recently I've really suffering and struggling with it.

For many years I've suffered with chest pains and in fairness the doctors have been great with there investigations, always been nothing wrong till now, they now believe I have mild Arrhythmia and are doing sports of tests.

Since November I've started getting dizziness, palpations, feeling of breathlessness, tingling / pins & needles, feelings of dread and that I'm going to die, waves of nausea, cold sweats, panic, loss of concentration, oh the list goes on... But the latest symptom I've been getting for the last month or so is itching / skin hives mainly on forearms and calves. Do you guys get this as an anxiety symptom?

Doctor's are saying its anxiety and there probably right. They've refered me for a course of CBT have any of you tried it, did it work?

    Hi Andy,

For 9 months now I've had chronic chest pain, it can be just my sternum some days, just my pectorals another and some days it's can spread through right to my back. It all started when I had a panick attack on holiday and I've never been the same since. My doctors have been no help at all really, and although they have done a lot of tests they keep telling me "it's in your head" or that it's "anxiety", and they also say it's "chronic pain syndrome" which means "we don't know what it is" in doctors terms sad

But this pat 2 months I've also started with almost every single symptom you have mentioned above. I'm on "gabapentin" at night time which to be honest seems to do nothing. Hope you find out what it is !! I'm sure it's something that happened to

Me on holiday but in stuck in a horrible place right now sad

I can relate to the dizziness and palpitations! My anxiety has been awful since November. It was better after I started Lexapro and Xanax, but now it seems like it's back. I also have health related anxiety and constantly think worse case scenario with my health. How long do your dizzy spells usually last? I would have them off and on in the past, but not daily. I contributed this to my medicine. I had a colonoscopy, with general anesthetic on Wednesday of last week, and haven't felt right since. I have been lightheaded/dizzy ever since. Try some breathing exercises for the heart palpitations. There are a lot of great resources online for breathing techniques for anxiety. Also I've been told that a hard cough during heart palpitations will put your heart beats back on track. I hope you start feeling better!

I've been experiencing everything you have, since November, as well. Including the itchiness.
