Race for Life - Wish me Luck! ( I need it)

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hi,

I am doing my run this wednesday evening so please wish me luck. I am running for my nan, who sadly died of cancer two weeks before my son was born

It is 5k (3miles) and hopefully this weight loss will mean I will survive!

I am hoping to run most of the way and afterwards I am going to have a bar of chocolate as my reward.

Watch this space,

Sasx

    Good Luck!!!

I did the race for life a few years ago...it is a great atmosphere you will love it....I did it for my beautiful Momma who died from Breast Cancer 7 years ago...so we all have someone and that spurs you on! However I walked it...but its the taking part (isnt that what they say!!! ha ha)...Enjoy your choccie..think I may have gone for a bag of jelly babies..No fat in them!! ha ha XXX

    Hi,

Many thanks for all your wishes!

I didn't quite manage to run it all, but did do it in 41minutes, so broke my fastest time!

I was on Mercia FM, you may have heard this sad woman gasping for breath at the finish, and the daft DJ asked me how I was feeling! ****** was what I really wanted to say but politely said 'tired'

Am off to rest my weary muscles,

    Well Done!

I would never have been able to do it that fast (and probably would have sworn on the radio!)
