Ramipril cough but worried about chest Xray

My doctor recently took me off Ramipril because of a dry cough / clearing throat. It now seems to be gradually getting better after a few weeks.

However, I was also sent for a precautionary chest Xray - which immediately worried me.

This is because I was treated for TB about 25 years ago. I understand this can leave a lung scar, so I was concerned that the Xray may show this.

Have just phoned up for the Xray result. Sure enough the receptionist just said the doctor wants me to repeat the Xray in about 6 to 8 weeks. So I assume from this that something showed up.

I suppose my question is, would an old scar cause some confusion when interpreting Xray results?

Thanks for any help or reassurance.
