Random pounding heart

I know I’ve talked about this but does anyone get a random pounding or racing heart? I don’t even need to touch my chest bc I clearly feel it pounding even if I’m not clearly anxious or I don’t feel it. I have bad health anxiety and this has happened before but it scares me so much. Even by moving positions , if I’m sitting and then I stand and walk around and this has been going on for days. I once went a month like this and it went away and it’s back.

    Yes sometimes I do.

Have you ever tried group therapy? I really think you'd benefit from it.

So does it lessen when you're active or distracted but start up when you're calm or resting?

Yes. If I’m didtracted or try to be it goes away. But I tend to overthink a lot and I have been stressed and stuff has been going on.

I hear you. I overthink everything! That's a good sign that it fades away when you're busy and your thought focus is drawn away. Isn't anxiety weird, the calmer and less active you feel the more prominent the physical symptoms get.

It’s a weird thing that people with anxiety seem to be more sensitive and in tune with our bodies. I have spells of the same and it freaks me out. I have had ekg’s done and no problems are seen. Hope it gets better soon.
