Really confused

So I have something going on with my lady parts that started a day after shaving with a razor that had been left uncovered in my backback. Be prepared because this is going to be long and detailed. I need answers. So a day after using the razor I got three bumps and what I thought was a bartholin's cyst. I also got some sort of polyp on my outer vagina. Two bumps next to each other vertically right below my left labia and one roughly the same place on the opposite side. Keep in mind they were skin colored and not fluid filled. A few days later some more popped up and the previous ones became ulcers including the polyp. They were very painful once ulcerated and burned if I got pee on them, but peeing itself did not burn. I looked online for answers and didn't feel like it was herpes. It didn't fit the bill for symptoms (flu, fatigue, muscle aches, the tingling/itching/burning for days beforehand, nasty discharge etc) or the visual appearance. The only thing was i had was swollen glands between my legs. I went to planned parenthood and got looked at, she said she thought it was herpes and I argued her point because at this point I'd done enough research on herpes to run seminars. She prescribed me an antiviral which didn't offer relief. I got some antibiotics from a friend that really helped with the pain, discomfort , and my ulcers were noticeably smaller the NEXT day. My glands also noticeably decreased in size and pain. Antibiotics won't work for a virus like herpes. I pointed this out to my mother and she said the antibiotics might've worked on something else so my body was better able to handle the virus. I was sick but I only had a stuffy nose. My ulcers also did not bleed or leak any fluid. She called and said I tested positive for hsv1. I don't know if it was from the swab or blood because I had both done. Now, given everything I said I had heard of planned parenthood giving false positives before so I'm still not convinced this is herpes. A little insight on my sex life, I'm married and regularly have unprotected sex with my husband. We were both clean. A few months ago I had thought we were going to get a divorce so I had a one night stand with a former lover of mine. That was my first and (God believe me) last time of sleeping with someone that isn't him. All except one of my ulcers have pretty much healed and I had no scabbing or crusting. I had gotten a depo shot a few days before this too if it means anything. My theory is that I did contract hsv1 in my younger years from my older brother. I vividly remember him getting cold sores in the winter. But I don't think these ulcers are hsv1 especially considering my lack of symptoms. Ive been procedeing as if i do have hsv1 there because i have a one year old who is my entire world and I can't risk infecting her those who took the time to read this, I thank you and please give me your insight.

The same place that you said you had your bumps were the same exact place that I had mine . I didn't crust over or none of that ..,

Do you have peeling going on down there ?

And if you have hsv type one on your genitals ., you can pass it off to someone else like that ?

Does your husband have any issues ?

I was indenial about my results also ., hell im still indenial right now and I got diagnosed with this December 15th ...

It's a hard pill to swallow let me tell you that

But the way that you are describing your experience is exactly what I was going through , it didn't burn when the pee came out it just burned when it hit my skin ...

Maybe you should get another test done ..

How are you holding up now? Don't get to down you just need to get solid information and research on this virus so you can know and learn what to do and what not to do . What is safe and what is not safe ..

It does sound like herpes. I too have HSV-1 and our symptoms sound similar. Not everyone gets flu like or muscle ache symptoms. In terms of being careful just as usual wash your hands after touching the area etc etc. If you still aren't convinced then maybe you want to get tested again. Wishing you the best!!

It sounds like you might have had a mild out break. Not everyone gets all of the symptoms. most people who have it have no symptoms at all. It is possible that you had it for along time or that your husband had it and doesn't break out or that you got it from anther partner even if it was just a one time thing. In the end where it came from is often a mystery. As far as passing it to your child just wash your hands often. Not to alarm you but understand that 70% of the population has the virus and you are not the only person with it who will come in contact with your child. Your baby can come in contact with HV1 from other children and people around them at school and in the family. It is far less uncomfortable than chicken pox or the flue. it's is just the risk of existence and I'm sure your baby will be ok either way. Just keep your immune system strong. You can try to get a second opinion if it shows up again.

When I have an outbreak my sores are red bumps. They don't scab or produce discharge. It doesn't sting when I pee, only when I get pee on the sores. Sounds to me like you have herpes.
