Hi Nicola it does get better, just hang in there, I've been on sertraline 10 weeks now and I'm starting to see light at the end of the tunnel, there's a book called dare and it's brilliant, if u can get it it has helped me a lot x

    Hi

I'm off sertraline due to it not agreeing with me

When I was on it I'd got over the worst of the side effects by week 3

I woke up sweaty each morning but was never sure if this was anxiety or a side effect

I also felt weak and tired so getting up was hard

I was on 50 mg which is the lowest dose and other forum users were suggesting go up to

I am the same, been on it 2 weeks today and I dread the mornings 😢 feel so anxious and down and my appetite is non existent until about 3pm. I was taking it around 10pm but took it about 7 yesterday and am going to take it around 5 today as i think taking it too late makes me worse first thing. I have been having awful trouble sleeping too. I just want to feel normal again. I too am on 50 mg for anxiety and mild depression. Hope you start to feel better soon x

I took mine around 5 in the evening but I ve been told that once you have been on it for a few weeks each daily pill is just a top up so it doesn't matter when u take it really

The half life for sertraline is about a day so a day after you've taken the pill half of it is still in your system and 2 days later a quarter is still there so after a week or so you are just topping up as the remainents of the old pills are still there

      Hope this makes sense
