Your doctor didn't put you on valtrex? It's a medicine that helps me a lot I would talk to your doctor about that, after if you like taking it if it helps it's ok to decide to take it regularly to I did if I don't take my medicine I will feel like there is pins and needles down there.

Yes I am on valtrex daily for now. Is there a cream or anything? Diaper cream cortisone? I also work out in the heat everyday! So I don't think that's helping with the itching. All sores have been healed.

A healthy diet helps me sometimes and I justt did a workout today myself and it caused a horrible outbreak I probably won't workout as hard anymore. Sleeping in silky clothing actually helps me to I will sometimes sleep in my silky bathrobe and put a cool wash cloth over my forehead and on my neck sometimes before bed.

The itching should subside on its own. To alleviate the itch, do not use steroid creams. They are contraindicated for herpes and can make things worse. Tea tree oil can help, but make sure it's diluted. If you develop a rash, stop. Zinc oxide might help to sooth somewhat. Same goes for Epsom bath soaks.

Tea tree oil. It helps to stop the itching.

I applied tea tree oil two to three times per day for one week now. The itching seems to be gone. The skin that was reddish seems to look more normal now.

I have tried cortisteriod , anti bacterial, anti fungal cream all unhelpful. Tea tree oil works
