Rectal bleeding (piles) ?

Can someone help please. I have diverticular disease and had a colonoscopy 2 weeks ago. Due to pain it had to be abandoned. Yesterday I had a virtual colonoscopy and when I got home and sat on loo for a wee lots of blood poured out. It has happened 5 times now no pain and the blood is bright red. Do you think the tube that was used in my bottom to blow air when taken out has ruptured a internal pile. Thank you any feed back would be appriciated

    Hi Elizabeth I think you should go and see your doctor. It could be that the bleed is coming from a haemorroid but get it checked asap. I hope you get sorted out..

    Hi , update on my bleeding. After 3 days of heavy bleeds I got an emergency appointment with my gp .Mucosa of colon been scratched during hospital procedure. Glad to say bleeding now stopped. Awaiting consultant appointment now for outcome of tests.
