Rectocele & rectal plication

Posted , 3 users are following.

yesterday was 9 weeks recovery. I've been really sore since day 1 down there and just put it down to having major surgery and recovery. I also limped badly after surgery but has calmed down. Still can't sit flat on my bottom need to lift right cheek up and sit on my left side.

To cut a long story short for last 3 days I've been exceptionally sore to the point that I got my mirror and just had a peek. (Good job I've done it a couple of times now). And found that the Plication site in my perinium looks like it's been bleeding slightly (hadn't noticed as I've been wearing black undies) but did notice a tiny bit of blood on tissue. the site looks clean and I'm not showing any infection signs just really sore.and stinging, been resting again,.

seeing gp a week tomorrow, do i wait or not? Still off work for 3 more weeks.

any advice? Feeling fed up.

Hi, personally I would ring the ward and go see the Gyni doc ASAP, why suffer lv.

not sure what the second part of the operation was. Xx

Basically it's stitches to tuck my bowel up to help it empty. But they go through perenium, it's causing so much more problems than the rectocele which is healing beautifully and I think most if not all stitches have gone now

Hello. I'm not sure the ward staff will be able to advise you now you are 9 weeks post op other than to see your GP. If you are due a post op check speak to your consultants secretary tomorrow or see if you can get an earlier GP appointment.

Well In this mornings post, forgot to mention very low pelvic pain and limping which became so painfull this afternoon with stabbing pains that I could barely walk, this evening I visited A&E where the doctor gave me extremely strong antibiotics as I have an abscess and infection if no better by Tuesday it's an emergency appointment, as per dr's orders, fingers crossed.
