Red area around urethra

Hi! The problem arose a few months ago. I'm circumcised, but the redness occurred after a long period of time.I was at the dermatologist, and he first told me it was because of the penis's linen contact. The second time she told me it was like a sort of bruise that would never heal and recommended to take Tarosin and arnica cream. What do you think?

Hi George, so does this bruising make any sense to you? Could you have caused this through rough sex, sex games or masturbation, for example?
Do you mean Tyrosine, not tarosin? Have you tried the Arnica?
What this looks like to me is that you have a long-term irritation issue going on - so what the first Derm told you could be part of what you have going on, the second explanation was either not detailed very well, or is of little use to you it seems to me.
Just to check something out with you: You are in the States I take it? In the UK when they do a circumcision they remove all of the foreskin and I believe in the states often it is not quite so radical. So, do you have some of your foreskin intact? Essentially, can you draw ant of the skin from the shaft of your penis to cover any of the head area? Obviously, to do this it is much easier to do when your penis ic completely flaccid ...... ?

Honestly, I don't know what the reason is. I don't have a precise moment to report when I think about the problem. I haven't used Arnica yet. Tarosin is a supplement for strengthening blood vessels (tablets).
I think it was a partial circumcision. I have some of the foreskin intact, about half of it, and can cover the head of the penis if is completely flaccid, but only if I stretch the foreskin.

What I was getting at with the foreskin should be a little clearer with the hygiene suggestion I make at the bottom of this reply - with a bit of practice you may eventually be able to cover most of the head of your penis when you take a shower. What this is all about is keeping bodily cleansers away from the problem skin area so as not to make it worse. At the end of a shower make sure you rinse the head area completely to remove any residue of the shower gel, etc. that could have gotten onto the head of your penis.
In terms of making the skin better I would try the Arnica - if it persists I would be tempted to try something that treats diaper-rash. One brand a previous forum poster successfully used was Destin.
Essentially, if what you have is caused by what is really a friction action with the head of your penis rubbing against the underwear you use perhaps you could try looser fitting underwear - try different one's until you find one that is right for your needs. If you are further constrained by trousers, jeans or pants this may be adding to the problem - so you could maybe find some that are not quite as constraining in the crotch area. Soap powder or wash tablets can be a source of considerably source of irritation to sensitive genital skin areas such as the head of the penis. I would at least try Liquid Soap Flakes that you use in a washing machine in the normal way for 2 or 3 months and see what happens ....

Brief Penile Hygiene -
What to do - never use any form of soap on the head of the penis, when you shower, draw the foreskin forward to protect the head of your penis, rinse everything off when you finish showering, then expose the head of your penis and rub with fingers and water only - dry your penis first, carefully pat dry with a towel and make sure the head and foreskin of your penis are completely dry!
