Red Bumps on Glans - Painless, not itchy

Posted , 3 users are following.

I noticed about 2 days ago these red bumps appeared on the glans. They are painless and it doesn't itch. Can anyone identify what this is? Is it something I should be worried about and visit the doctor for?image

Thank you.!

actually i am having the same thing from about 2 months. how old are u ?

did u had any unprotected sex?

then its best to visit a doctor.

i visit a doctor and he said its nothing to worry about but just to be sure i have done a std test and still waiting for the results.

does the blisters tent to popup with nothing inside and clear on its own withing 2 to 3 days ? and again reappear ?

im 28, havent had any sex in over 6 months. there is nothing inside the bumps, and its the first time appearing for me, so not too sure if it will reappear after disappearing. Did the doctor tel you what condition this is? thanks!

no doctor didnt tell me what the condition can be. but he said to wash it with salt water daily.

but i am still having this condition even though i wash with salt water every day.

another person from this discussuion told me he is having the same condition and his doctor prescribe to wash with vinegar mix with ani fungal cream. he specifically said dont wash only with vinegar bcoz it will burn. u can try it if u cant go to a doctor due to corona situation.

but my best suggetion is visit a doctor for peace of mind. and do a std checkup .

This looks most like a yeast / fungal, or, bacterial infection - you have had NO sexual contact for 6 months: you have not received oral recently?

What has your penile and personal hygiene been like in the last month or two ...... ?

      Nope, no oral either.

i shower twice a day, and whenever i shower i usually wash my penis with shower gel too (im uncut). Could this then be because ive washed off the natural bacteria on there? I Just recently changed to a new brand of soap. But ive never had a problem washing with my previous shower gels though.

When you get a reaction like this the only thing to do is to enable the skin to return to its natural state, for this it is really important NOT to apply anything at all to your entire penile skin other than plain water for cleaning and hygiene.

So yes, the soap or potentially a combination of other body wash such as the shower gel have most likely caused this.

Although the symptoms may fade in days or weeks, occasionally it can take longer. For this reason it is best simply not to use any soap or body wash at all on your penis in future to prevent this kind of reaction ....

@Wee_Dugie Noted, I Have stopped using the shower gel directly on the penis. Will monitor and give updates if there are any changes. Thanks a lot for your advice!

What you need to be careful of is when you shower soap, shower gel and other body cleansers like hair shampoo draining onto your penis or even into your groin region CAN be sufficient for the irritation to continue - particularly if you shower with the head of your penis exposed.

The thing to do is to draw the foreskin fully forward before you get in the shower to protect the very sensitive skin on the head of your penis, then wash everywhere else on your body and fully rinse.

Then rinse the entire groin region and finish by exposing the head of your penis and gently rub it with the inside of your hand and fingertips to clean, avoiding fingernail contact. Never use hot water on any penile skin, warm is sufficient.

Carefully dry the head of your penis first with a clean dry towel that ONLY you use. Then dry the remainder of your penis, then your groin ....

UPDATE: Im 98% recovered. maybe just 2-3 bumps left. i think its definitely the soap. ive just been washing with water and nothing else. And keeping it dry.

      Thanks for all the advice!
