Redness in upper tooth socket after extraction 6 days ago, should I return to the dentist?

I've had two teeth extracted 6 days ago, one bottom right and my upper right. While the bottom sockets looks to be heeling fine, I can seen red in my upper one throughout the week since. I had followed my dentist instructions and feel no pain or sickness. I'm unsure if I should return to the dentist to get it checked out or wait for my appointment with my orthodontist in mid-December. Its giving my anxiety as I'm afraid of it possibly being infected or going to be.
