Redness on Penis?

Posted , 3 users are following.

I noticed this yesterday (12/22/20). I woke up with my glans red. I've been using Ketoconazole 2%. It seemed to help but at the end of the day there was still redness and some on my shaft and different spots. I'm also taking Acyclovir (400mg 2xday) and yesterday was my 3 day of treatment so I doubt it's my HSV1 acting up. Nonetheless I would still appreciate if anyone could help me out to what I may be experiencing

Did you notice the redness after anything specific? Any other details? Currently dealing with the same thing, as are many on this thread.

To be honest, I don't remember doing anything out of the ordinary before. I think it was some mild irritation. I don't know entirely what I could've done. It's gone now but I'm still taking precautions

i have permanent change to penis glans after oral without protection. I have had my blood tests done and positive for HSV1. Never tested before. I could have had this for ages but never had cold sores. My thoughts are i got this from receiving oral. I am no doctor but an avenue worth exploring.

I've had HSV1 for a while. I haven't had any blood work done before but I know I contracted it after kissing someone with a cold sore (this was before I found out they're considered herpes). But I'll talk to a dermatologist for their input.
