Reducing mirtazapine as I increase sertraline

Ok so I am on 15mg mirt and 25mg sert, only been taking sert for 6 days and side effects of sert are calming down so I think I am ready to go up to 50mg sert but, I know I need to some off the mirt, doc says at 15mg I can just stop once I have taken 50mg sert for 2 weeks but after reading how awful mirt is to come off I am so scared.   I feel wobbly enough starting the sert without adding in withdrawal but I know the longer I am on mirt (been 8 weeks) the harder it will be to get off.   I was thinking of upping my sert tomorrow to 50mg, letting the side effects calm down over a week or two and in the meantime take 7.5mg of mirt or shiukd I continue on 15mg mirt till I am used to the 50mg of sert. This sounds confusing, I hope it makes sense.   Can anyone help me or give me some knowledge on this subject.  X
