Referred back to surgeon :(

Posted , 8 users are following.

I'm coming up to 6 weeks post op and about a week ago I started to have a heavy, straw coloured leakage from my vagina. I went to the GP who did an internal, took swabs and a urine sample, everthing was clear. I went back yesterday for a follow up appointment and she did another internal, she said everything looks very good but that she thinks leakage could be urine, though she could not see where it is coming from. So now I have to wait to see surgeon again and I guess it will be scans etc, it is possible that I have a fistula and if that is the case possibly more sugery to correct it sad Anyone else here had anything like, that can share experiences with me? xxx

      Hi Luckymum

I am hoping that the Surgeon will put you down as urgent, fingers crossed.  It must be so frustrating, when all you want is to get better and back to normal.  It is enough to test the patience of a saint!

      Hang on in there.

      Love

I went to see my consultant yesterday, he did an internal etc and suggested that it might have been a build up of fluid from the op that was stuck behind a blood clot, once the clot dispersed the fluid came away. This fits, as first day I was flooded but since it has been much less. He seems to think that it will stop in the next couple of weeks but is sending me for a scan anyway and then I'll get a follow up appointment with him in a month xxx

Mary, sorry to hear your sad news, glad you were there with him thoigh, may he rest in peace now he is pain free xxx Now is time to start looking after yourself!!!

I went to see consultant last Friday, he said that all looked ok internally and that he could not see where the leakeage was coming from. He is sending me for a scan to see if there is anything there. He did say though that he feels it could simply have been a build up of fluid from the op that was released and that any futher leaking should stop in two weeks or so, however if that is the case then the fluid would have inhibited internal healing process so that would mean that I am about two weeks behind where I should be xx

      Dear Mary

So sorry to hear about your father.  Very glad you were with him in his last moments.  You did such a magnificient job of looking after him.

You and your family are in my prayers.  There is so much to do isn't there, no time to draw breath or anything.

You will always have your lovely memories of your father to draw on to give you strength, so he will always be with you.

      Love

      Jacqui xx
