Referred back to surgeon :(

I'm coming up to 6 weeks post op and about a week ago I started to have a heavy, straw coloured leakage from my vagina. I went to the GP who did an internal, took swabs and a urine sample, everthing was clear. I went back yesterday for a follow up appointment and she did another internal, she said everything looks very good but that she thinks leakage could be urine, though she could not see where it is coming from. So now I have to wait to see surgeon again and I guess it will be scans etc, it is possible that I have a fistula and if that is the case possibly more sugery to correct it Anyone else here had anything like, that can share experiences with me? xxx

ok... ok... you listen to your dr's... you have the scans... and hey... we've all gone through something major here before... anything now is a PIECE OF CAKE CHICKY! You are SOOOOOOOO strong now... having a hysterectomy I think gives us women STRENGTH... we realize we CAN get through it.. I know what ever is going on... THEY WILL FIX! Just think of it as another "tune-up"
You will be FINE my dear friend!
I am so sad to hear this news... and I will say a prayer for you!
Dad was given a week yesterday... we are getting closer.. there isnt any verbal communication now, and I miss that But I still sing, and talk, and hold his hands.. gosh... early a.m. I almost lost my voice.. but YOU KEEP ON GOING.. YOU DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO...
My father says EVERY DAY YOU WAKE UP, IS A GOOD DAY!
peace & love from your friend in the US

So sorry, you were doing so well, what a bitter blow. Are they pushing you through quickly to see a surgeon? Really hope so, you just want to be sorted and get back to normal. Life can certainly dish it out.
Fingers crossed you will get seen and put right soon.
Love
Jacqui

I am hoping that the Surgeon will put you down as urgent, fingers crossed. It must be so frustrating, when all you want is to get better and back to normal. It is enough to test the patience of a saint!
Hang on in there.

I went to see consultant last Friday, he said that all looked ok internally and that he could not see where the leakeage was coming from. He is sending me for a scan to see if there is anything there. He did say though that he feels it could simply have been a build up of fluid from the op that was released and that any futher leaking should stop in two weeks or so, however if that is the case then the fluid would have inhibited internal healing process so that would mean that I am about two weeks behind where I should be xx

So sorry to hear about your father. Very glad you were with him in his last moments. You did such a magnificient job of looking after him.
You and your family are in my prayers. There is so much to do isn't there, no time to draw breath or anything.
You will always have your lovely memories of your father to draw on to give you strength, so he will always be with you.
Love
Jacqui xx
