Has any one tried Reflexology for Fibromyalgia? If so, how long before you noticed any improvement?

I do! I find it really helps, not so much with the pain but it gives me the inner strength to manage the pain and it helps with ibs. I planned to have weekly for 8 weeks (noticed improvement very gradually with each week giving me more energy and coping ability over time) it was actually when I missed one week due to practitioners illness, about 3 weeks in, I noticed not having it. Now I have fortnightly treatments and this has improved my general well being and emotional issues. I know it doesn't work for everyone but I certainly feel the benefit.

    Hello,

This sounds like something I would be interested in trying.I am going to mention it to my Doc and

see if I may try this procedure. Will report back over time to let you-others know what I think...

    Thank You,

Reflexology isn't usually available on the nhs... although you might be lucky I suppose. All practitioners should be registered with a regulating body and fully qualified. You can often find good alternative therapists online or perhaps even advertised at local doctors surgery. Although a personal recommendation is always the best way to find someone. Where in the UK are you?
