Hi just wanted to let you know my problems and no diagnosis.18months ago i started getting really bad chest pains thought it was my heart ,ECG was fine, also 4 times in 2 years i have had excruciating chest pain middle of chest followed by excruciating head pain which lasts 2 mins at the longest, doctors all shrug shoulders and say they have never heard of it,I also get palpitations lightheadedness and weakness in legs,I was sent to neuro which was negative results thank goodness, not once have the doctors suggested all these problems could be reflux.I read an article someone on here wrote saying it is when the oesophagas goes into spasm It causes chest and head pain After all this time with no awnsers from doctors,it has come as a relief to here what it probally is and i am not alone with this problem. It must be the worst pain i have ever encountered.I also get acid reflux,I have started on cammomile tea and oil of peppermint also omeprezole.Doctors even suggested it was anxiety,I said it is all my symptoms with no awnsers from doctors that cause  anxiety.

    Hi Lorraine.

i have had similar problems to you, had chest pain and burning for years, plus headaches worked out was the reflux meds they put me on were causing the headaches... I am still not 100% not heart related despite several ecg,s and bloods. So doing treadmill test tomorrow see what that says.i understand your frustration as its like dr just doesn't believe me. Hope you feel better soon.

      hI Steph,

I Have had a few ecg,s and a treadmill test all fine, so good luck with your test.

I to feel like the doctors think it is in peoples heads when they have no awnsers, but as they are only general practitioner they are not familiar with certain conditions so I am going to ask to see a specialist

and you should do the same.As need to get a proper diagnoses, and then can deal with the problem. It is the not knowing that can lead to worrying whats wrong.

    Hi Lorraine

I myself had the same symptoms as you. Chest pains, light head, palpatations, even back pain and sometimes arm pain which i related all to the heart because thats is the most important organ in the body. I have had an ECG about 5 times in the last 3 months, stress test, event monitor and holt monitor and all came backnormal. It has all been blamed on my anxiety and GERD(still being diagnosed). even after that many test when i have a servere episode of chest pains or sometimes my heart beating a bit heard i cant but think something is wrong with my heart. I guess when i get diagnosed with my GERD i will bit better but its a scary situation to be in.

I also get back pain between the shoulder blades,

Anather strange thing i get which i am hoping maybe someone else on this site can  understand and put some light on, is every time  i yawn it sends tingling sensation down my back and tingling in my legs,When my symptoms first started i also got pain in my upper left arm but i dont seem to get that now.

As for my heart i have been assured my heart is fine even though one ECG showed it to be racing and i was put on beta blockers.I hope you get a diagnosis soon nothing worse than worrying,i will try probiotics I will try anything to feel back to normal again lol
