Has anyone else felt really nauseated when tapering off Remeron? I have tried to get off this evil drug several times but the nausea gets so bad I go back on it. I have gained 35 pounds on this during the past 4 years. I have the worst fear that I am going crazy and will never have my old life back. Depression and anxiety hit me out of the blue almost 4 years ago and I still struggle daily. I was once so happy and carefree but this disorder has really taken over my life. Can you really ever get better?

I did get better but it took about 5 months before the nausea eased off. Homeopathic tablets helped with the feeling of dread and panic, and helped me sleep better too. And when I had company or distraction of some sort, it took my mind off the nausea. That was 7 years ago now and thankfully I'm not on any medication and feeling fine. Occasionally the depression might flare up a little but that's more likely because I lost my Mum last year. But thankfully it's manageable. I hope and pray this helps.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. What tablets helped with the panic? I struggle daily with that feeling of fear.

Hi tasha7908,
I was given Remeron because I had started having panic attacks, anxiety, and depression. I also was not sleeping. I went to the ER 10 times in one year. Each time I was convince I was dying. An ER doc gave it to me.
