Request for Forum User Feedback

Posted , 37 users are following.

Hello,

We recognise that recent changes to the forums have not worked for all users. Therefore, we are now planning an update to improve users experience of the forums. As part of this we are requesting that you please add your requests or ideas that are your highest priorities as a reply to this discussion.

Once we receive a suitable number of suggestions we will put these into a survey where users can then vote for the change(s) they would most like to see in the update. Once we have the results we will do the required changes and share these with you for any comments before we release to the site to ensure we have got it right.

There are some things we cannot do such as removal of ads as they fund the site, reinstate emails for every post and reversion to old format of the site. All other constructive suggestions to improve the forums will be considered.

While we may not be able to do everything that is suggested in this update we will take note of users input in deciding priorities.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,

Patient

The option to edit and remove all personal posts should be added.

There should also be a list of moderators that you can message if you run into trouble !

also please if you could reply to the message i have sent as it is urgent thank you

all these " new" changes your making to the boards in the name of security is making it more user unfriendly. Twice I have put my letter codes in for my secret word and it hasn't been recognized. Then you get kicked out for an hour before you can try again. Just stating the more difficult you make it for people to use your boards the greater chance they will go somewhere else. Years ago " health board" was a very popular health sight but they over moderated it and most people left. You have to find all the pictures of bikes, then buses now you've added what's the 1st 3rd and 7th letters to your secret word. Its so secure now even the poster can't get in.

making the spell check automatic, or easier to find would be a good innovation...

Regarding posts going for moderation and approving or not:

All posts with images uploaded are sent for moderation as these need to be checked before appearing on site.

Moderation is done in the morning and throughout the day UK time so if you post out of UK working hours there may be a delay.

I do also moderate over weekends but less frequently so there may be longer to wait.

If the same discussion is posted more than once any duplicate posting will be deleted. This includes the same discussion(s) being posted over several days.

You can see which of your discussions/posts are on site by going to your profile page here https://patient.info/forums/me

I second the post regarding password requirements, Almost every time i log in results in a reset. The biggest suggestion I have is a search feature, would really benefit looking for posts that have been answered and cut down on repetitive posts.
