I’m now 7 weeks post-surgery and have been using up some holidays from work before returning to work next week. I’m just wondering how everyone else found going back to work? Did you have any setbacks from returning to work? I still have a wound infection and on antibiotics for the next week for this

Scottie.
well the most important thing is to overcome that infection in yr case I would think.
and as you done by lifting I guess!
you will need to bear this in mind at all times until it's completely healed!
you really don't want yet another infection on an infection!
how did you do it anyway ?
regards.

Tore the stitches open by stretching to reach something 🙈🙈. Instead of getting someone else to do it or getting a stool to reach it I stretched way too far 2 weeks after the op then the following week it was really red, bleeding and oozing xx

Ok well that's easily done as I've felt like that a few times to be honest too.
how old are you and how is your confidence now Scottie.

It sounds as though you've got work sorted by going back on reduced hours. Don't forget you will get tired very quickly as your body is still healing on the inside and yes please be careful still with lifting and stretching! Just take your time and take it easy and don't rush doing things.
As long as you're careful you should be fine as its been 7 weeks for you now. I went back at 3 weeks and felt really tired after just a couple of hours and it was a gradual thing as each week past I could do more.
Take care x

No i'm no further along. I had more blood tests Wednesday and all normal again. I looked into getting a second opinion as you kindly suggested.
Good luck for Tuesday! x
