Hi, I've noticed a problem with my saliva for the past couple of months.
When I wake up in the morning, go into the sink & spit. The saliva is light green. When I brush my teeth & use mouthwash, it goes clear again. Everything is normal for the rest of the day when I'm up. No further discolouration or anything. It's only when I lie back at night in bed & sleep it will go green the next morning first thing after I wake.
I have mild chronic gastritris too but not sure if it's causing this.
However I was wondering in your expert opinion, is there any chance that this is a teeth/gum problem or will it be due to the acid coming up my throat at night as I lie back, building up & ultimately mixing with my saliva overnight.

I don’t have exactly the same problem as you’re describing but mine is similar so it could be that our problems are related?????
I do have a very salty taste in my mouth which is intermittent and driving me crazy.
It all started following a tooth extraction followed by a dry socket and an abscess. Then with all the antibiotics and Ibuprofen I took it made my “GORD” symptoms flare up. They’ve all subsided but unfortunately I’m still getting the salty mouth.
Does anyone else suffer from salty secretions in their mouths?
I’m desperate to know if this is a complication from my recent dental problems or whether it’s related to ”GORD”
Thank you
Jane
If anyone can help it would be great to hear from you please.
