Saw doctor today re peri-menopause.

she said basically " no you won't have gastric issues because of menopause" , she then said " no you wont suffer depression but maybe mood problems" ..

she he implied menopause won't be considered PERIOD unless you stop having periods and that that EVEN though I said both my mother and grandmother started at 40..

can you guys honestly tell me that altered hormones ARENT playing a role in what you/we all are going through..??

i have labs to do Fsh and LH yes which might shed light in a diagnosis but then I read on here that labs aren't reliable.

I'm soo fricken confused.

She does not know what she is talking about that doctor should understand that you do have stomach issues and depression in menopause

My GYN and PCP both told me what your mother went through you will mirror her. Gastric problem are terrible and its from fluctuating hormones. If the fsh is high you are going through peri menopause. Trust me their are other symptoms such as electric shock feeling ready and chest pain it's not pleasant at all
