hi ladies, saw my doctor yesterday  , was due a smear test that i was not looking forward to but no probems at all ,everything healing as expected,  asked her why my rectocele was not repaired as i think it shouldve been and she said it was minimal so i wouldnt benefit from a repair right now , not sure why though , told her if i have problems in future i want it repaired and she said that wouldnt be a problem,  i cant bear going through surgery again with my wee one only being 10 months , so im hoping i can hold off surgery till she up a bit more xx

Hello helen. It's very good news to read everything is healing well and hopefully you can avoid further surgery by doing pelvic floor exercises perhaps x

Thank you matron , think it's getting there , it's weird as I was convinced I felt rectocele but the past few days I haven't really had any bother even though I have small bulge I think I can cope for now , think I was just in a total panic at the thought of having another prolapse , emotions all over the place ohh how I wish us ladies were told about the emotional feelings this surgery has on us as it really is a roller coaster ride everyday lol xxx

It definitely is a roller coaster ride I absolutely agree and like you I think ladies should be told just how it is. xx

    Hi Helen,

So glad to hear everything healing as expected.

That must put your mind at rest and you can now get on with enjoying time with your little one.

Good luck for future and hope you do need anymore surgery for many years. Don't forget to regularly keep doing pelvic floor exercises every day.
