Scared

If I have hsv1 can I acquire hsv2? I had protected sex a week ago and felt to fly right away, I have a headache, pain aches in my butt, legs and arm, fatigued, and tired feeling. I'm scared it could be hsv2 to make me feel so awful. I'm freaking out.

The tingling is nerve pain & you get that with herpes. Your best bet is to get a blood test. Also you should take daily b complex, lysine, & vitamin c... all 1000mg it's helps me out a lot & had no more outbreaks.

HSV1 does not protect against HSV2, but it can reduce/mitigate symptoms of the latter. That is how some people end up with asymptomatic gHSV2. I don't think what you are describing is HSV2, but likely anxiety, if I recall your posts from the last time. Remain vigilant, but try not to stress and overthink. If you must, consult a doctor and test for IgG again at 3 months.

Yes, I was posting on this site back in February. You are very informative and insightful and I appreciate that so much as this is by far one o the scariest things in my life. I have yet to have an actual OB but my body is different. I've had the headache non stop since last Sunday and aching pains in my body. I'm worried. I was officially diagnosed with hsv 1 and cmv which doesn't exactly say it's herpes but describes everything that it is. And now w the encounter last week, I'm back to feeling tired, sore, and in pain. I get itchy down there w lots of tingling and weird feeling.
It's so hard to describe this to doctors and I'm getting a new primary next week so I'll have to go over everything w her then and hope that she is understanding. I'm lucky to have good insurance and will ask for a referral if this new primary doesn't know or understand this virus. It sucks so bad when they don't believe what's happening to you. I've read some posts on here that say the doctors are rude or disregard them because this is very real and very terrifying. All I can say is thank god this forum is here. I was really itchy down there and someone on here suggested epsom salt baths and that has been so very helpful. I'm a single mom of. 10 yr old boy. I'd love to find love and have more kids but this is so daunting. I realize there are good men out there who will think nothing of this condition but it's scary nonetheless. All this worry

I know exactly how you feel. However it's still early to tell and your chances are slim. So I would just relax, eat well, rest and wait. Oh and mostly, try not to worry or think about it.Easier said than done.
I have been feeling those symptoms for the past 48 days since the last time i had protected sex. I went to 2 hospitals and 2 clinics whom all dismissed herpes and said that the pimple and odd different sized tiny bumps on my trunk side was folliculitis??? I finally decided to get an IGg test done last Thursday for both strains because I was really anxious. My symptoms started almost 7 weeks ago and included an itchy forhead and scalp with buttock aches. I never had lesions anywhere. Just 4 odd little random paper cuts on the top of my right hand and fingerd different locations which I was afraid would possibly be it, however doctors said that there needs to be ulcers for it to be Herpes, i also had a small flesh colored bump appear on side of left hand finger which shrunk within a few days. so all those weird symptoms made me decide to get tested. Past 3 days I had pain behind the eyes and a big headache just like the flu but with upper body aches under shoulder blades and sore throat. it finally stopped today Day 49. Now the slight 1 second itches in the evening here and there ( ears, forehead, side of nose, nostrils, arm, leg, chin , slight shoulder blade inner ache right side started again, My lower back pain finally stopped after almost a week of having trouble getting in the car.... I will get my results within 10 days.... Hoping for the best, trying to prepare for the opposite.

It's crazy because I know my body was different right away. Even though I haven't ever had an actual OB I got really sick w a lot of symptoms described as herpes. The tingling below is a huge indicator besides flu like symptoms, headache, and aches and
Pain in my body. That was in January this year. Had protected sex on Sunday and instantly felt tingling and have had a headache since then, no appetite, aching in my body. I'm hoping it's not hsv2 since I now know this is a very real and terrifying experience. Or worse yet aids. I read that herpes can make us more susceptible to catching aids or vise versa? They're not good together at all. I'm stressed to the max! I work full time and am a full time student also interning and a mom to my son. I'm so busy and stressed all the time as it is! 😩😢
