Scared

I’ve been on the pill for 10 years or more and never really had periods, however for the past 6 months I’ve beeb getting a period more and more frequent. Firstly it was ever 3 weeks then every 2, now I’m barely getting a few days between them.. they are not overly heavy and sometimes it’s not even necessary to use sanitary products. In February I did mention it to the nurse when I went for my pill check and she said it could be my hormones changing (I’m 40 in 3 months). I went back to my gp a few days and he has referred me for blood tests, ultrasound & internal examination.. since this I have been feeling extremely nausea on and off throughout the day, I don’t really experience any intense pains, just normal mild period pains. Absolute terrified  now waiting to have all these things done and wait for results..
