Scared to try new medication?

Has anyone been scared to try a new medication? I've been putting it off for so long because I'm scared I'll have horrible side effects like I have had before.

    Hi Victoria your right to have doubts I was and that put me off entirely I think doctors are too quick to dish out tablets that don't deal with the cause just the symptoms it's a cop out for them in some cases. I've taken meds in the past and the problems always came back until I dealt with them myself. I changed my diet took regular exercise quit smoking and drinking and worked on why I worried so much which was social issues that triggered the anxiety and stress. Dealing with these issues myself gave me more benefits than any tablets a doctor has ever dished out. Work out the cause and deal with that I hope that helps in some way

    Hi, ive been prescribed tramadol but scared to try them as one of the side effects states they can slow or stop your breathing when you first start them? Anyone advice with this please?

      read my message I'm not a doctor but my advice would be if your worried and are going to take them try a quarter of the dose to start with and if no side effects increase the dose. Same again if no side effects take the prescribed amount. But that's just my opinion
