Sciatica?

I had a medial epicondylectomy on 16th May and they didn't give me a nerve block. I woke up and was in agony so was given loads of pain killers. I stayed the night at the hospital as I was far too drowsy and became unresponsive a few times I  was given medication but it made me too drowsy and I worried the doctors and nurses a lot . They didn't give me a nerve block and took on a bad side effect.

They got 10 drs around me. Every 5 mins my temperature, heart rate and blood pressure changed. The drs became really worried when my pupil reaction was slow. They couldn't wake me up and had to give me a lot of oxygen too, the look on their faces worried me.

I then stayed in hospital with iv fluids the week after for 4 days and they thought the tramadol and ibuprofen aggravated my stomach and couldn't eat normally for a couple of months. I have shortness of breath and a heavy chest and pain in stomach and under my ribs. I can't lie on my back or left side as it makes the pain worse. I feel quite sick and nauseous.

I had a potential blood clot but a chest ct came back clear. I still have chest pain and upper back pain as well as shortness of breath. What could this be. They said it was potentially a muscular or skeletal pain but I get pain on my left side especially. They suggested pain killers, I'm not convinced it's a muscle strain nor could they tell of an infection. X-ray and ecg are fine, I still think there is something wrong. I am short of breath and my left shoulder feels achey. I have a small cough and cough up a little phlegm if I cough too much

I have symptoms of the following,

Lower back pain,

Can't hold urine for as long,

Left leg weakness

Shoots of pain

Pins and needles

Affects left back leg, calf and foot,

Hit lower back when I was younger, years ago,

Pain radiates to the stomach

Strain to move bowel movements some of the time and is painful

Tight chest

Pain in both shoulder blades

My legs have just gone really weak with shooting pains, I can't walk and they hurt so much and so does my back. I feel sick with the pain and light headed. I am 18 and fell on my back about 10 years ago whilst using heelies and I have had back pain since then. The bad shooting pains occurred occasionally but never this bad. What do I do? I am a fairly active and not overweight person. Help is godly appreciated.

Sorry about your suffering. I use to be a non narcotic pill taker. But a Dr. Convinced me to try and take a scheduled amount . What I realized was they allowed me to continue to stay moving. The Dr. Said the spine gets its nutrients through torso movement. So instead of confinement I am slowly improving. I have spondylolisthesis of the L5 S1.

Hi, thank you so much for your reply. I am a fairly active person and no painkillers apart from gabapentin which I have had in the past seem to work. Even when I was on a high dosage per day, the pain was still high. The pain is really bad in my left leg and both legs can go completely numb and can't feel them at all. This really scares me as I don't know how long it will last for.

The pain is getting unbearable. My legs keep going really weak and numb and I can barely walk on them some of the time. My back pain is getting really bad.

When my pain flares up I have to schedule a steroid injection right into the L5-S1 joint. The relief takes 3-10 days and lasts 3-5 months.

Thank you for your message. I have managed to book an appointment with my dr. I have no idea what is causing this pain but no pain relief appears to help 😓
