I m getting ready to have my right hip replaced after left one. I can only sleep on my right side S left one hurts to much. My preference is left side. I wonder if I will ever sleep on either side again. Anyone else had both hips replaced?

I suggest waiting if you can until you heal. I had Anterior THR on my left 2 yes ago (8-15-16) I kept complaining of burning pain when I slept & Dr. kept saying it would all go away in time. However it got stiffer & pain tuned into extreme burning & pins & needles. Fast forward, I finally got diagnosed with Maralgia Paresthetca (MP) which has now become chronic & very few Dr's seem to know how to address, other than strong medications that only make me dizzy, nauseous & sick! I'm in chronic pain and feel I traded one pain for a permanent chronic pain. So I suggest waiting until you heal fully. Just my 2 cents😉

After my THR, I was able to only sleep on one side, then I had a revision 10 weeks later (same hip), and was only able to sleep on the other side.
Each recovery is different, you really can't predict which side will feel easier.

I had left hip replaced January 7 and I love sleeping on my right. I could change to my back but I still got tired. I had right hip replace September 7 and sleeping on my back and left side was very uncomfortable so I slept in my recliner. I am now sleeping however I want with less shifting to another position. I am praying for you and soon it will be much better.
