Second outbreak much WORSE

I am 18 and was diagnosed with herpes last year in July, I had a severe first outbreak which lasted 2 weeks and have not had one since. I started to take 50mg Sertraline for depression 5 days ago. 3 days ago I got another outbreak and this one is just as painful and bad as the first one even though I thought they were meant to be less severe a year later? Please give me some advice on dealing with my pain, I cannot tell my parents about this I am very embarrassed and unable to travel to the GUM clinic because I am always babysitting and the pain is too severe for me to even walk. Is it possibly linked to the medication? Please help somebody!! I am on agony

    That's weird.

I had one breakout and haven't had one since & I got diagnosed back in December of 2015.

The first one is always the worst. Some people even have reoccurrences. I haven't had anything yet.

Why aren't you on anti viral medication??

And how did you get diagnosed with this and your parents don't know??

Weren't you a minor when you found out ?

My second one is definitely equally as agonising as the first was, I was 18 when I was diagnosed last year.

I took acyclovir for 1 week and was better by 2 weeks of the initial outbreak.

I am not on antivirals now because I cannot get myself to the clinic due to the pain being so bad and due to babysitting duties at the moment

It's really not point In going to the doctor once you have an outbreak the medicine is kind of pointless .

Tea tree oil and a&d ointment will help you a lot. Just make sure that you keep it moisturized at all times .

Don't know why you are going through this type of stuff .

I also take sertraline for depression and mood swings I haven't had any issues pertaining to my outbreaks .

Are you stressed out or anything ? Recent period ?
