Sensitive scar

I am 7 weeks post LTHR and although I am recovering really well my scar is still sensitive and red. Is this normal? Which are the best creams/oils to use on the scar; I have tried Bio Oil & E 45 cream but neither seems to improve it. All suggestuions gratefully receivedĀ smile

Thanks. A colleague recommended lavender essential oil in a little almond oil. Is that what you mean?

Hi I tried to tell you about the product I have found that works better than anything I have ever tried but it's been withheld because it's deemed as advertising. I don't know if there is another way I can get a message to you

Hi, I am also 7 weeks and my scar is darkening and although still a bit numb it isn't sensitive. I have used coconut oil all the way through and a Vit E oily cream from Superdrug. I believe that it isn't what you use but the actual massaging that helps a scar to heal. I think I would be inclined to get yours checked out especially if it is hot as well as red.

No it's not hot and I saw the surgeon on Monday who didn't seem to be worried about it so it's just a case of speeding up the healing a bit if I can. I have been using E45 cream but I might change to something else

Hi. I'm 5 weeks and my scar H's healed well. Still a bit tender but not like yours sounds. I think a trip to docs would be beneficial for you. I've been using Aloe Vera Jelly

    Hi howeller,

I dont know if by red you mean inflamed, but if it's just general healing soreness, then I would try bepanthen diaper cream it's what I was told to use after each of my tattoo's it works great, hope this helps.

Hi I guess that's a USA product? We have something similar in the UK call Sudocreme. It could be the magic solution.... I wonder if anyone has tried it?

You can get it in any uk chemist, I'm in the uk, but I'm moving back to the USA soon as my son's are there, good luckĀ cheesygrin
