I was on 50mg for a month and didnt notice much difference but GP said it's a low dose, so I was upped to 100mg - which I have now been on for 11 days. I havent noticed a huge difference but I think it will work slowly and subtlely. I have felt a bit less anxious in some situations and am certainly better than I was this time last year. However, my GP said often you dont realise the little changes day to day its only looking back in the long term you realise how much better you were than before.

I think I will stick sertraline out for 4 weeks on 100mg and hopefully I will feel so improvement and this dose will work for me. Do you feel like you have ups and downs? I feel like some days are better than other and some days are just terrible I also have a on and off appitatite apart from that I only had side effects the first two week and haven't had any since. Hopefully you will feel more improvement everyday and you will be back to normal soon. As I think we have all realised that there is no quick fix for these sort of problems.

Yes I do have those ups and downs! I try not to think about side effects too much and just get on with things, i know it's hard but it helps being distracted! Do you take any other meds? I take propranalol which is also helpful for anxiety

Yeah I do the same I try not to think about side effects. But atm I find it really hard to leave the house and do normal things such as work and university I have had time off both of them in hope of pulling myself together in the mean time just got to think positive. Nope I don't take any other medication I have been given diazapam for really bad days but I have avoided using them as I have heard they are really addictive and not long term treatment. I am also doing CBT but really early days as I have only had one sessions so far but I have heard it's really effective treatment x

yes, it's been a huge improvement being on the 150mg, i've noticed a definate change. it does take a long time to get into your system, actually i was 9 weeks on 150mg before i noticed any significant changes in my mood, yesterday was the first day in weeks i felt off, but i am due on so that has to have some impact don't you think?? today i don't feel 100% but i'm not like i was last night, couldn't even crack a smile last night!!

We just have to be patient as hard as it is. Good luck and hope you start to see an improvement more and more everyday.
