    Hi there

Setraline can have some very unpleasant side effects at first. A lot of people persevere and then find them helpful. I have been on 50mg for a long time and that was ok. My GP upped the dose to 100mg and after taking just one I had really horrible anxiety and tremors. I didn’t continue at that dose but my body is a bit screwed up still.

Maybe think very carefully about why you want to take them as some Drs don’t really talk it through properly with you.

Some people don't get many side effect. Some more. There's plenty of info on the internet and especially on this forum. I think it seems to make your problems worse before better. Doctor should have started you with a low dose ..maybe 25mg for a week and then 50 mg for 4 to maybe 6 weeks depending on how you are doing. You will need to stick it out because it takes time. Always take at the same time every day ,try to eat and drink plenty of water. Common side effects are night sweats, insomnia ,upset stomach ,nausea , tiredness and a general feeling of yuck! But these go and in my ( short) experience you feel loads better after a few weeks. When you increase the dose some side effects come back but hopefully not as bad as before.( which is where I am at now 25 to 50 to 75)

You dont say why you have been given them. If its for panic attacks or anxiety there's breathing exercises you can do. I thought this was garbage but they actually work.

I would have a good old read on this forum and good luck
