Does any one have any advice about how long doseage changes take to settle. Been on Sert 200mg for 16 years but it pooped out and stopped working. GP recommended staying on Sert and adding Mirtazipane as an augmentation strategy.
I've been on the Mirt approx 10 weeks (2 weeks on 15mg, 4 weeks on 30mg, 3 wks on 45mg and now been back on Mirt 30mg as i found 45mg too activating. Anxiety returned again this afternoon and i have had up and down days for last 2 weeks.
Wondering how long to stick out the 30mg before i make a decision to change. I started feeling better at first but seem to be on a downward spiral again. Feeling hopeless and had a few tears today

I'd remain on 45mg of mirtazapine as 15 is awful with 30mg a lot better- but 45mg are spot on and I wouldn't change this, should it work for you 45 why change it?

Hi Rob, i stayed on 45 for 3 weeks but i found them too activating in that they actually increased my anxiety and was getting overwhelming euphoric head rushes that were too strong and very frightening. Remember im on 200mg Sertraline too.

Hello Jon, I don't know anything about sertraline so perhaps they a bad cocktail mixed together, but I would certainly stay on 45mg of mirtazapine myself" But we all individuals and effects us differenfly as you taking another medication during the day I presume! Go with what's best for you mate. my GP from the onset was moving me gradually up to 45mg from the horrible 15mg mirtazapine and the ok 30mg.
