Sertraline now!

Just wanted to update everyone (who has followed my progress on my blog and in the Fluoxetine board) that my GP has put me on Sertraline now.

Any side effects or anything I should look out for?

Hi, Ive been on Sertraline for 9 days now. First day it made me fall asleep then every night for the first 7 nights i woke in the night and was awake for hours. I wasnt much tired the next day either and found it relatively easy to get up the next morning. Past 2 nights have been ok. By day 7 my mood felt really good so i thought they were starting to kick in, but day 8 and 9 i felt anxious again. I was confused because i dont know if it was because i happened to have more to worry about over those days. But overall until the last 2 days it gradually gave me loads of confidence and lifted my mood.

Hay Samantha, for the paste few days I've been in a great mood since coming off the Fluoxetine, although last night I was feeling very down but I called my girlfriend and she cheered me up smile

I'm just afraid I might crash from the happy feelings to being down for a while (as I'm not usually down).

I start these on Monday so wish me luck lol (if I haven't already said it).

Oh and is it safe to take Valium or Xanax (very odd time) with these? I suppose it is as I have taken them both (not at the same time) with the Prozac.

Hi, yes there can be a few side effects but as you've been on Fluoxetine already for a while it may not have be so bad for you! Please let us know how you got on.

    Cheers 😃

PS. Did switch straight from Fluoxetine to Sertraline?
