Sertraline Side Effects?

Hi all,
I've been on antidepressants for over a year now, I was on citalopram for the first 4 or 5 months until they became non-effective in every sense.
I've found sertraline to be far far better at managing my depression, even though I had to up the dose a few months ago - currently on 150 mg per day.
I've found that over the past year I've put on so much weight which is incredibly frustrating. I'm totally willing to own up to some comfort eating, but definitely not enough to cause a gain of around two stone? I'm twenty years old, a vegetarian, and eat more fruit and veg than anyone I know. I exercise regularly, and physically am fit i.e. I don't get out of breath running up flights of stairs.
A lot of my issues re: depression are to do with body image, and it's becoming really hard to deal with this weight gain, especially when literally anything I do has no effect.
Does anyone else have this experience of weight gain while on meds? I can't seem to find a scientific basis for it in terms of research but I'm certain that it must have had an effect in some way?!

So sorry you are experiencing out of control weight gain.
Are you keeping a detailed food dairy?
I use an app called "FitDay".
It's free and has a wealth of info available so you can analyze what it is you're eating that's causing you to gain weight.
If that app isn't available, I suggest you search your App Store for an alternate.
It's easy to blame the meds, it takes brutal honesty sometimes to take responsibility for the part you may play in comfort eating.
Good luck
