sertraline, suicide thoughts

Hi there i only started taking 50mg sentraline 5 days ago but my mood has dipped rapidly. Ive thought of suicide. Is this normal. Surely not after 5 days.

    No it's not normal, you should make an appointment to see your GP as soon as possible smile

    Hi,

    I felt awful on Sertraline..they made me feel worse..go & see your GP..they will probably prescribe another Anti Depressant...Good luck..I am sure you will find another AD,that will suit you better! :o)

    Hi Jenster I have also been taking sertraline for 5 days and I feel terrible sick dizzy numb tongue

    disorientated. I dont know how long I should put up with it I am 73 years of age.

    not sure if its normal or not. but it happened to me. i went back to the doctor, and persevered - if you can, in my opinion, i'd give it a month before you make any decision. but you must go back to your dr.
